• so i’ve been sub teaching for the past… day. but today, something really cute happened.
  so there is this little 1/2 chinese 1/2 white girl. her name is OE*FHL#I. i was telling the 5th grade
  class that i was in china teaching english to kindergarten kids for a year. after that that little girl gave
  me oranges, chips, 1/2 her sandwich and she just smiled at me a lot. i thought it was cute.
  then at the end of the day while i was on duty (duty is just when a teacher has to stand in the
  front loading up the kids in their mama’s cars) she says “wa aie nee”. it was so dang cute so i say
  back “wa aie nee”. (this means ‘i love you’ in chinese). so like 15 minutes pass by and her mama
  still didn’t come to pick her up. i was getting tired so i crouched down next to her and this is how
  the conversation went.
  
  :LSDIKJF@#: do you wanna talk to my dad when me comes and picks me up?
  Me: well… i dont know how to speak chinese that well.
  SLD:KFJ(: he speaks english too!
  Me: ok… maybe
  S:LDKFJ(@: mr. song…. r u married (she points right at my nose)
  Me: um…. no
  SL:DKJF*: how come?
  Me: um… because i dont have a wife?
  :LSKDJF(U*: good, then you can marry me!
  Me: um…

  for so great a treasure words will never do.
  even as i breathe, comes an angel to their keep
